General Terms of Business for Cleaning Services
• Payment: Payment is due on the day of service. Accepted payment methods include cash or bank transfer, with a standing order preferred.
• Late Payments: A late payment fee of £2 per day will apply starting 24 hours after the scheduled cleaning.
• Cancellations & Rescheduling:
• Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
• A 30% cancellation fee applies for cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice.
• Additional Services: I/The Company reserves the right to charge for additional services not included in the original agreement (e.g., oven cleaning, fridge cleaning, remedial works, or extreme deep cleans).
• Insurance & Liability:
• I/The Company is insured for public liability and will take all reasonable care to avoid damage to property.
• Any damage claims must be reported within 24 hours of the service.
• I/The Company is not liable for items of monetary or sentimental value unless negligence can be proven.
• Access to Property:
• The client must ensure access to the property at the agreed-upon time. If access is not possible, the full service fee may be charged.
• Keys can be collected or returned as per prior arrangements.
• Health & Safety: I/The Company reserves the right to refuse service if the property poses health and safety risks to staff (e.g., biohazards, unsafe premises, extreme heights).
• Parking: A parking space must be arranged by the client, and any parking fees are the client’s responsibility.
• Holiday Surcharges: A surcharge applies for services booked on public holidays.
• Satisfaction Guarantee: Any concerns about the service must be reported within 24 hours for a resolution or re-clean.
• Equipment & Supplies:
• I/The Company provides all necessary cleaning products unless otherwise agreed. Eco-friendly products are available upon request.
• Clients must provide a working vacuum cleaner for use during cleaning appointments. This ensures efficiency and prevents cross-contamination between properties. If a vacuum is unavailable or non-functional, vacuuming may not be completed.
• Termination of Agreement:
• Either party may terminate this agreement by providing 14 days’ written notice.
• Any scheduled cleans within this notice period will still be chargeable unless otherwise agreed.
• I/The Company reserves the right to terminate services with immediate effect in cases of non-payment, misuse of services, or unsafe working conditions.
